Board Reconciliation Statement
The Board of Directors of AnglicareCQare proud, willing and active participants in the reconciliation journey. Collectively, we support the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People (i.e., First Nations people), as the original inhabitants and custodians of Australia.
For us, the AnglicareCQ Board, reconciliation is an ongoing invitation to sit…. walk…stand with First Nations People.
We acknowledge the historical and ongoing effects of racism and dispossession on Australia’s First Nations People. We acknowledge the disproportionate disadvantage experienced by First Nations People and we commit to ongoing action and assistance through the services AnglicareCQ delivers.
Our commitment, as a governing Board, is to ensure good governance with a focus on Closing the Gap to provide a brighter future for First Nations People in the Central Queensland Communities and beyond.

John Crossland
Chair
Having lived in Rockhampton for over 12 years, John brings a wealth of experience across education, management systems, computer science and mathematics. His professional expertise is complemented by a long-standing family commitment to community service and volunteering.
John Webb
Director, Chair Finance and Risk Management Committee
John Webb is a senior arts and community services professional with over 30 years’ experience. He specialises in strategic management and sustainable service delivery. A Central Queensland local, John is committed to fostering inclusive, connected communities through his leadership at AnglicareCQ.
Jennifer Hoffman
Director, Chair Care Governance Committee
Jennifer Hoffman has over 30 years’ experience supporting young people and families in the youth justice sector. With a background in welfare studies, she currently leads restorative justice conferencing, focusing on positive outcomes and reducing reoffending through community and court collaboration.
Bishop Peter Grice
Director
Bishop Peter Grice combines legal and theological expertise with extensive pastoral ministry experience. Ordained in 2001, he has served across regional dioceses and holds postgraduate theological qualifications. He is passionate about strengthening church engagement and community connection.
Libby Homer
Director
Libby Homer has a background in medical microbiology and extensive experience in regional community development. She has led drought relief efforts, contributed to arts and agricultural initiatives, and served on the Beef Australia Board. Libby is an AICD graduate and currently serves on the Safe Food Queensland Board.
Ross Nicholson
Director
Ross Nicholson has extensive experience in ministry and governance. A former bishop, he has led organisational renewal and served on national and community boards. Ross brings strong expertise in leadership, strategy, and community-focused development.
Penny Fletcher
Director
Penny Fletcher is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker in private practice, supporting children, families, and individuals. With experience across health and education sectors, she is passionate about trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice and contributes a strong community focus to the AnglicareCQ Board.
David Rees
Director
David Rees has a background in agriculture, banking, and public accountancy, operating his own practice for nearly 30 years. He later served as Registrar for the Anglican Diocese of Rockhampton. David brings valuable financial, governance, and community service experience.

Carol Godwin
Chief Executive Officer
With over 30 years in social services and more than 15 years at AnglicareCQ, Carol brings extensive experience across housing, youth, homelessness, disability, aged care, child protection, mental health and counselling. Her work in Australia, the UK and Cambodia reflects her longstanding dedication to supporting people and communities.
Traci Kittle
Business Manager
Traci brings over 30 years’ experience in finance, with more than 20 years working in the not-for-profit sector. She is deeply connected to the local community and is passionate about supporting organisations dedicated to community wellbeing. Traci holds a Bachelor of Business and has a strong interest in risk management.
