Karen’s Haven

A safe gated community for women and children moving beyond domestic and family violence.

Karen’s Haven, named in memory of Karen Gilliland, is a secure gated community comprising four carefully designed three‑bedroom homes, created to support women and children as they move beyond domestic and family violence. Each home offers a safe, private and comfortable environment where families can begin to rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope. The shared setting fosters a sense of community and mutual support while maintaining personal space, enabling residents to heal, regain confidence, and plan for an independent future. Karen’s Haven stands as both a place of refuge and a lasting tribute to Karen Gilliland’s legacy of care, strength and advocacy for those seeking safety and a fresh start.

Rhylla’s Hope, A Coastal Community

A social and affordable housing project targeting small families on the Capricorn Coast.

Rhylla’s Hope – A Coastal Community is a thoughtfully planned development of 26 welcoming two‑bedroom cottages in Emu Park, designed to provide safe, stable, and connected living in a relaxed coastal setting. The cottages balance privacy with a strong sense of neighbourhood, creating an environment where residents can feel secure, supported, and part of a caring community. Named in recognition of Rhylla Webb and her significant contribution to AnglicareCQ and the wider community, Rhylla’s Hope reflects her legacy of compassion, service and commitment to improving lives, offering residents not just a place to live, but a place to belong and thrive.

Kawana Social Housing Project

Two and three bedroom homes in a community environment.

This social housing development in Kawana, Rockhampton comprises 24 well‑designed one‑, two‑ and three‑bedroom apartments that cater to individuals, couples and families with diverse housing needs. The apartments are thoughtfully planned to provide safe, comfortable and dignified homes that support long‑term stability and wellbeing. A large adjoining parkland creates a vibrant, family‑friendly environment, offering space for children to play and for residents to gather, while seamlessly integrating the development into the wider community.
