Protecting Children
Every child deserves a safe environment where they can grow and thrive. Anglicare Central Queensland is dedicated to protecting children and young people who have been harmed, or are at risk of harm.
We work closely with the Department of Child Safety to provide safe and secure care for children who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing significant harm.
We work to protect and guide our local children through a range of services including:
- Foster and Kinship Care
- Residential Care
- Counselling
Residential Care
Anglicare Central Queensland’s residential care offers a ‘home-like’ environment for young people who are in the care of the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
Child Protection Counselling and Intervention Service
Anglicare Central Queensland offers a specialist counselling service for children and young people in care, their foster or kinship carers and their biological parents.
We provide therapeutic support for children, families and carers, to express your feelings and other challenges that you may be experiencing. This service is available by referral only through the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
